Sentire parlare Casini di “scelte impopolari” e “nuovi sacrifici per i cittadini” fa venire il voltastomaco. Personaggi come questi, chiusi nelle loro dorate esistenze, invece di sentire pudore perché testimoniano con la loro stessa condotta l’apoteosi dell’ingiustizia sociale e il predominio del privilegio irresponsabile sul merito e l’impegno, pretendono pure di ergersi, dal basso della loro ipocrisia, a insulsi dispensatori di consigli non richiesti. Casini, ma non solo lui, è in Parlamento da tempo immemore e di lui non si ricordano grandi imprese eccetto le ricorrenti solidarietà preventive per tutti gli eccellenti indagati per mafia. Da Dell’Utri a Schifani, Casini ha una parola buona per tutti. Qualche tempo fa, durante una trasmissione di Santoro, lo statista del tortellino difese a spada tratta la sua scelta di eleggere Cuffaro in Parlamento, nonostante le pesanti accusa rivoltegli dalla procura certo della sua innocenza. “In caso contrario”, aggiunse, “ne risponderò personalmente”. Cuffaro è stato poi condannato in Cassazione senza che però Casini ne traesse le giuste conseguenze. Anziché rinchiudersi in un convento benedettino per riflettere sulle sue sciagurate azioni, Casini insiste e rilancia proponendosi come comico salvatore della patria. Sono convinto del fatto che l’unico vero punto di forza di cui disponga un Cavalier Berlusconi palesemente allo sbando risieda nella indecenza dei suoi antagonisti più accreditati. Casini è uno scadente sottoprodotto del berlusconismo, capace di mutuare in piccolo tutte le peggiori storture che hanno accompagnato questo ultimo balordo ventennio di storia repubblicana. A partire dal conflitto di interessi. Se Silvio costruisce le sue fortune politiche sulla scia di una mastodontica commistione tra potere politico, economico e mediatico, Casini risponde in piccolo con le stesse armi. Il Caimano schiera Mediaset, Panorama e il Giornale intestato al fratello Paolo, e il Pier troneggia dalle pagine del Messaggero e il Mattino della moglie Azzurra Caltagirone, figlia del ricchissimo Francesco Gaetano recentemente condannato a 3 anni e 6 mesi a causa delle spericolate scalate del 2005. Operazioni finanziarie alle quali, guarda caso, il genero dell’odierno condannato garantiva uno sfacciato e interessato appoggio. L’Italia vive un presente drammatico. Ma le ipotesi di discontinuità fanno, se possibile, ancora più paura.
